Steps to Process a Bank Card Payment
End the Trip
After ending the trip, the terminal will display the final fare and prompt your passenger for payment
Important: the terminal will automatically recognise which card type is being presented - you do not need to do anything before taking payment.
Customer Pays
Contactless: Tap card/phone on the top contactless reader.
Chip Card: Insert into the chip slot (front of terminal).
Swipe: Swipe the magnetic stripe if contactless/chip fails.
Note: Tips cannot be added to Cabcharge or government subsidy payments
Approval & Receipt
If approved, the screen shows "Approved".
You will be prompted to print a customer receipt first, followed by a driver receipt.
Tap "Yes" if you would like to print a receipt.
We recommend always printing and keeping a copy of the driver receipt for your records.
Complete Transaction
The terminal returns to the home screen for the next trip.
