What is the Integrated solution?
The integrated solution connects your existing dispatch system and meter directly to a new Cabcharge payment terminal. Rather than replacing your dispatch setup, it works alongside it - your dispatch provided meter calculates the fare, and the Cabcharge terminal handles payment.
This solution is available for merchants using the following compatible dispatch systems:
Autocab
iCabbi
SmartMove
What's included?
The solution consists of:
A PAX A920 Pro payment terminal - handles all payment processing, connected to your dispatch system to receive fare amounts
Device placement
Regulatory standards require that your meter display is clearly visible to both the driver and passenger at all times.
Your dispatch, or secondary/third-party meter device, must be positioned in the centre of the vehicle. If your device is currently mounted to the right of the driver, this will need to be addressed before or during installation.
Depending on your dispatch system, there are options available to you:
SmartMove merchants - SmartMove offers a range of solutions, including secondary screens that mirrors the meter display from a right-mounted tablet, placed for central passenger visibility. Confirm with SmartMove which solution is right for you before installation.
Autocab and iCabbi merchants - your dispatch tablet may need to be relocated to a central position. Speak with your installer about options ahead of your booking.
What drivers need to know
Once installed, the experience is straightforward for drivers:
The dispatch system calculates the fare as normal at the end of each trip
The fare is either automatically passed through to the Cabcharge terminal, or sent through with the click of a button depending on your setup
The passenger pays on the Cabcharge terminal and a receipt is genreated
The terminal is designed to be intuitive, and will automatically recognise the card tapped, swiped or inserted - making payment faster than ever.
Driver may be prompted to confirm how payment was made on dispatch and is then available for next job

What happens to my FAREWAYplus equipment?
Your existing terminal, meter, printer and 4G modem will be removed as part of the installation process and replaced with the new terminal.
